Elevator Pitch No. 3

Hi! My name is Kenneth Landry and I’m here to explain to you the concept of my application iDrive; a task tracking tool that allows you to set schedules and goals towards completion of life balance type tasks.  Whether your goal is to lose weight; run a marathon; or begin a healthier eating habit; iDrive will track your long term progress and balance it using ‘micro goals’ mixed in with your day to day scheduled tasks like grocery shopping, studying, or doing the laundry.   This is then shown back to you in the form of daily task goals; percentage to long term goals and a “What’s next” to make your life style that much healthier.  That’s not all though; through pairing with companies like Angie’s List and Yelp any goal that you’re having trouble accomplishing on your own can be easily paired with a high rated specialist in your area at just the click of a button.

iDrive can help you not lose sight of tomorrow while you focus on today!

I received several pieces of feedback on my pitch from last time; mostly positive on both the idea and my presentation itself.  While I appreciate the positivity I asked my wife and she ripped it down a bit for me just to be safe.  So I timed and practiced my pitch to keep it at a minute and added in a "slogan" at the end to try and keep people thinking after the fact.  I also added in some best practices from other students videos by being more specific as to what the product would do and how it would interact in peoples live.  Lastly, I incorporated some of the feedback from my idea napkins by limiting the applications main focus.

Thanks all for the feedback.  Let's see if Dr. Pryor likes the photo I found :) I smell a new entrepreneurial poster!

  1. Hi Kenneth,
I really like this idea. As a student who is usually struggling with balancing my schedule and reaching my goals, any sort of application to help me stay on track would allow me to remain focused and organized on a daily basis. I also like that this can function for multiple tasks- I can organize my academic goals, but I can organize and track my nutritional goals as well.
