Hopefully you can tell from my elevator pitch the ability to capitalize on this basic need. Not only though utilization of big data (harnessing information about people's long term goals and short term tactical needs) and the revenue of the product itself (want to outsource your groceries to make up some free time?) but through enriching people's lives and therefore enriching our economy.

Elevator Pitch #1
Drive Technologies is the name of my business (or rather the business that I want to begin) and my idea is for an application to assist people in both the handling of day to day activities but also in creating micro tasks to more macro level goals in their life. Most people have a longer term dream in mind as well as tactical responsibilities that they have to fulfill from week to week. Between work, family, school, holidays, etc. it is difficult to mange the time and soon enough they look back and see that months have gone by and they are no closer to their goals and maybe even a bit behind in their weekly tasks. Where is the business here? Well I'm glad you asked:

Hey Kenneth,
ReplyDeleteLove the idea! Right now I am stuck to writing on my goals and to do list on a piece of paper or sometimes even my mirror ( so my boyfriend can see it ). Just an idea to add on if this had like a sharing capability so, for example, my boyfriend and I could syn our to do list/ calendars/ progress on joint goals that would be awesome!
Also side note you are a really good public speaker! Though I noticed that it seems like your video was cut short.
Anyways here is my elevator pitch http://dleonent.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-no1.html#comment-form
Hey Kenneth!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the elevator pitch! It is definitely a good idea. The only concern I have is that I feel like this type of market is already saturated with similar apps, such as Todoist. Also, although you may see it as a competition between friends, many people are very prideful and don't want their friends and family to see how "unproductive" they are. Keep working on the idea though, it has great potential! Here is the link to my elevator pitch! http://adventuresofentrepreneurship.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-no-1.html
Hey Kenneth,
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! I like how it focuses on both long term and short term goals and even turning your long term goal into a bunch of different short term goals! Daniela and Devan had great comments though! I think implementing a way to share your goals would be really smart, but (going off Devan's point) you should make it so that you choose who gets to see your goals and what not. Also with what Devan said, this is a hard industry to get your foot in the door just because there are so many apps in the world that do similar things so I would suggest trying to pinpoint certain ideas that would truly make your business stand out! Take a look at my elevator pitch if you're interested! http://ffavorule.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-no1_3.html
